as the elder,
i'd expect you to be the wiser,
but you're not.
trial and error is not the rule,
but the lesson,
a lesson you refuse to learn,
as it's easier to blame misfortunes
on weaknesses, but not yours.
i lack sufficient advice
as you are one to deny
(or just not hear)
so i must keep quiet
although i am never content to sit back and watch.
