i think on this
whenever standing
too near a curb,
testing sulky morning commuters,
public transit,
insomniac taxis
who go by in a breeze
and what it'd be like
the seconds before impact
the echo of an inhale
the limpness of sleep
and the sweep into darkness
won't frighten me at all.
